Thank You Supreme Court

A man who was convicted of capital murder is scheduled to be retried after the Arkansas Supreme Court overturned his conviction.  The conviction was set aside because police obtained the killer's confession "illegally."  What was so "illegal?" He was questioned by police after he requested a lawyer.  So-freakin-what?

The Constitution of the United States does not require this outcome.  This is a rule of criminal procedure concocted by the US Supreme Court to ensure that people's rights aren't violated.  Whether someone's right were violated has become irrelevant.  The only thing that matters is whether the Court's rule was violated.

How much time and money has now been wasted?  And now the guy may walk.  Thank you Supreme Court!
